Fitness on Friday 10 May 2013: Inspiration Board

I'm a visual person and when it comes to staying motivated towards my fitness goals I love to use my Pinterest Board.

I've expressed before my dislike for what's being referred to as "Fitspiration" these days - where women are ogling images of other women with ridiculously sculpted, fake-breasted, air brushed bodies with the tag-lines as bad as "Squat: Because that ass isn't going to get round by itself." If I tried to use images like that to motivate myself It'd wittle my self-esteem away into nothing. 

No I mean the kind of inspirational visuals that make you want to hit the road running... now.... and fast... This is one of my recently discovered favourites....

I encourage you that whatever your personal goals in fitness are to record them; and to visualize them. If you're not into the online version of Pinterest then make an old fashioned pin board. Inspire yourself. And let that inspiration push your fitness level to new heights. 

Can you tell I've just been for a run? **caution: enthusiasm and happiness is a side effect of exercise**
